Tiger and Oni (airbrush)

2 days before taking an airbrush course I decided to scrap my original idea because I didn't think it was challenging enough. Miraculously I then stumbled across Yushi-an amazing tattooist from LA who blew my mind! I ended up piecing together a couple of his tattoos to make this single image. While trying to put my own spin on Yushi's work, I know I'm biting his style, but imitating his work was the best way for me to understand the basics of the Japanese new school style so that I could begin developing my own skills further. I know what I'd do differently next time & am looking forward to getting back on the tools & seeing where I can take it!
